JENNY LOCKYER

Director and Facilitator

My background is in playwork and performance and I have about 24 years experience of running all sorts of creative activities and events for all ages, with a particular love of Early Years and intergenerational sessions. I love to sing, play, be musical and creative and Music Time remains one of my favourite things to do. I've devised numerous childrens' shows and workshops over the years featuring all sorts of things from puppetry to planes, storytelling and performance.

Apart from my work with children and young people I perform comedy and songs in all sorts of shows and events, and take on creative commissions including mural painting,  song writing and recordings.

In 2016 I was funded to write and perform a one woman stage play called, 'Amy Johnson : Last Flight Out'. This is one of the best things I have ever done. I've taken the show on a few small scale tours and am working towards a national tour with workshops.

To keep up with what's happening with future performances or to find out more you can visit my website HERE

Basically, I love being creative and facilitating fun activities and I'm available for babysitting too!

For your peace of mind I have Public Liability insurance and all facilitators have an enhanced DBS check.

Aside from teaching music to children and playing music, Jade can be found working on an Indonesian music and arts project called Kembang Arts, studying about the musical development of children and training to become a mindfulness meditation teacher.  She is passionate about bringing joy and creating community through music making, as well as the musical development of children.
